Well, I'm going to
continue bombarding you with shuffles! Here is a single note rhythm over a 12 bar blues. This
example is almost like a bassline but, you could use it in a solo or as a rhythm part.


I got this example again from Stevie and he plays this in the song They Call Me
Guitar Hurricane. Single note rhythms have impact and often will line up with the bass to create a
cool unison sound. Notice some more of those muted upbeats in bars 9 and 10. These muted notes help
keep things funky! Give this one a go.
