Stevie Ray Vaughan's playing communicated a lot of tension, sometimes through the use of gradually ascending bends. I call this lick "Hang On" because you'll have to maintain tension on the strings with each bend, without resting between notes. You'll also see how in-between bends can sound musical if used correctly.
