Watch the Feeling Flat online guitar lesson by Corey Congilio from 50 Progressive Blues Licks You MUST Know

This is our last but certainly not the least of the Jimmy Herring licks. This is another great example of blending pentatonic scale ideas with the flat 5 note. We also incorporate the major 3rd and 6th notes as well.

You'll notice that these jazzy blues players are masters of using much of their harmonic arsenal without sounding too disjointed. That's the key, putting it all together.

As you learn about major/minor, pentatonic, melodic minor scales, you'll see that much of the guitar is open to you for exploration in a solo.

What's the great saying? "There are no wrong notes." Okay, don't want to ramble on here, now go try this great Bb lick!
