One of my favorite arpeggios to use is the minor 7b5.
Often called half diminished, this arpeggio is spelled R, b3,b5,b7. If we look at the notes of the arpeggio we can see that they are all contained in a minor blues scale (R,b3,4,b5,5,b7). Since they are in the minor blues scale they are fair game, also braking up the scale into an arpeggio creates quite a different sound, we are superimposing the arpeggio over the E7#9 chord. So it is a great way to get into incorporating arpeggios into your playing, especially the very cool minor 7b5.
