For the next two licks we’re going to dig into the slide style of Robert Nighthawk. He was born in Helena, Arkansas in 1909. In the mid 30's he moved to St. Louis where he played with Henry Townsend , Big Joe Williams and Sonny Boy Willamson. His first recordings were for Victor in 1937.
