Watch the 7th Heaven online guitar lesson by Corey Congilio from 50 Blues Rhythms You MUST Know
This final example puts us back in the key of A.
I wanted to put together an example that contains not only many inversions but, play it how I might use all of this info. I call it 7th Heaven but, you’ll find some 9th chords in there too.
Take a look at how I build the example and I move from low to high with the inversions. After you’ve gotten a handle on this example, try composing something like this with other chord shapes or transpose the whole example to a different key.
The guitar is unlike a piano in that some chord shapes will just be out of reach or not pleasing to the ear. Move these around and see what happens! We have to make adjustments both musically and physically to play logical chord progressions and rhythms.
This example will provide tracks to run on for creating your own blues rhythms that are interesting and unique!
