This example is an uptempo rhythm that uses the 9th chord we introduced in the last video.

We'll be playing this shape for the I-IV-V changes. This rhythm could easily be tossed into a solo over blues changes.

Frankly, many of these ideas can translate to the soloing world. I think of Stevie Ray Vaughan's Love Struck Baby or anything Brian Setzer might play when using this inversion in a guitar solo.

To me this is a very "horn section" type of chord. Learn in and you'll see what I mean.
