Watch the Sweet G online guitar lesson by Jeff McErlain from 30 Sweet Blues Licks You MUST Know

Here's a sweet turnaround lick in G that mixed both G major and G minor pentatonic scales. It's a familiar lick that outlines the changes nicely squarely from the BB King and Peter Green school of blues.

The lick itself is not that difficult, but the feel is. Really pay attention to laying back on the feel. That's hard to do, so I like to use what I call "creative visualization"; I think about BB King. His body language, swagger, etc., and try to imagine how he would play it. I try to draw upon that like actors do. I try to put myself in their shoes. I first started doing this when trying to play some Stones-y sounding stuff. I watched Keith play and then tried to channel that. It works!
