Watch the EC Stutter online guitar lesson by Jeff McErlain from 30 Smokin' Blues-Rock Guitar Licks You MUST Know
Finally, a somewhat easier lick! This is one I learned from one of my favorite players, Eric Clapton. OK, now if you are only familiar with Clapton's more pop material, or more recent blues records, you may not know what a fire breathing monster he was on the guitar in the 60's. He defined the rock guitar sound on the first Bluesbreakers record and then again with Cream. The consummate Gibson into a Marshall guitar tone. I highly suggest checking out the live Cream performances from the 60's. He was in his 20's at that point, and I'm still studying what he played...be sure to check out Wheels of Fire and Live Cream Vol. 1+2. Absolutely some of the best guitar playing I think you'll ever hear. If you don't like it, please be aware that nobody played like that before him. He was the first. He inspired Hendrix.
