Watch the Twist & Shake online guitar lesson by Robbie Laws from 30 Penta Sonic Blues Licks You MUST Know

A minor pentatonic box pattern #1.
This lick has a decidedly bluesy feel and vibe, as well as being very expressive. You're going to love the way this lick literally rolls right off your fingers.

Starting on the D string 7th fret, you pivot down to the A string with your 3rd finger, picking the D string back up at the 5th fret with your index finger. Next, grab the 7th fret of the D string with your 3rd finger and jump up to the G string with your index finger at the 5th fret. Now staying on the G string, you'll move up to the 7th fret using your 3rd finger and then make a 1/4 step bend. Go up to the B and high E strings, both at the 5th fret and both using your index finger. Drop down to the B string and grab at the 8th fret with your 3rd finger and hoist a 1/4 step bend. Back up to the high E string tagging the root A at the 5th fret with your index finger and then moving to the 7th fret high E string with your 2nd finger, and back down to the B string at the 8th fret using your 3rd finger to give it one more 1/4 step bend. Finish off on the B string 5th fret, using your index finger to administer a mean shake.
