About the Workshop & Festival

With deep roots at the headwaters of America in the shadow of Montana’s Glacier National Park, the not-for-profit Crown of the Continent Guitar Foundation celebrates the universal appeal and diversity of the guitar by combining music, mountains and the magic of Northwest Montana.

The Crown of the Continent Guitar Workshop & Festival brings together the world’s best guitar artists, teachers and mentors, inspired students and enthusiastic audiences in an unmatched, once a year joyous celebration of performance, camaraderie, study and collaboration; delivering a profoundly unforgettable experience wrapped in lasting friendship, warm hospitality and community spirit. This year’s instructors include TrueFire Educators Robben Ford, Jeff McErlain, James Hogan, Andrew Leonard, and Susan Mazer in addition to Pat Metheny, Lee Ritenour, Scott Tennant, Livingston Taylor, Mac McAnally, and Daryl Stuermer.
