Watch the E Major Rock Solo online guitar lesson by Trey Alexander from Rock Guitar For Beginners
Here is our first chance at taking a major pentatonic solo. Watch how the solo moves around the scale. Some of my favorite guitar players from Eric Clapton to Larry Carlton use this scale and some of these same ideas to make some of the greatest solos ever written. This example is going to use some more of these repeating concepts. You will also hear how I change the sound of the solo when the chords change. Don't forget to take notice of these ideas and move them chromatically up and down the fret board. The more you are familiar with moving around these examples the easier it will be for you to play in the different areas of the fret board.
