The minor pentatonic and the minor scale are very similar. There are really only two notes that differ from each other. The B/2nd and F/3rd are taken out of the Minor scale to make the Pentatonic Scale. Let's look at the Chart. This is a great way to start seeing how effective combining scales can be. Really practice combining the scales, remember there are no wrong notes so just enjoy every sound that you come up with.
