Watch the A Minor Groove Rhythm online guitar lesson by Trey Alexander from Rock Guitar For Beginners
So as I was talking about before, these 2-note rhythms can add a lot to your playing and still not be much harder than our standard power chord. We really want to take our time with this variation and make sure that we are reading the examples correctly. Some of these ideas are kind of like backwards power chords. These examples are called 3rds, and you end up using these quite often in your playing later in your career and you will definitely hear me brush over these concepts in the more advanced courses. So move these around your fret board and try making up some of your own rhythms with these concepts. I also put a slower version of this track to play along with just to make sure that we take it slow at first before we play it up to tempo.
