Watch the Chord Progressions online guitar lesson by Bruce Arnold from Jazz Guitar for Beginners

Learning chord progressions is the key to remembering chords. It also makes learning chords fun because you are learning to play music at the same time.

The development of coordination between the right and left hand when playing chord progressions is the hardest hurdle for a beginning guitarist. If you need more help with this I would recommend "1st Steps for a Beginning Guitarist" which will give you 10 chord progressions that gradually demand more coordination of both hands.

My students have had great success with this method. Take advantage of the jam tracks for the chord progressions; they will really help you to learn on your own because you will know if you are playing correctly.

The jam tracks for the chord progressions get progressively faster so skip ahead if you would like more of a challenge. You can also practice the chord progression with a midi file. This will allow you to set the tempo, find the one that initially works for you and gradually speed it up over time.
