Watch the Lesson 6 online guitar lesson by David Hamburger from Fingerstyle Blues Handbook 2

Blind Willie McTell wrote "Statesboro Blues," which Duane Allman turned into his own signature slide guitar masterpiece on The Allman Brothers Live at Fillmore East, but, ironically, McTell, an accomplished bottleneck player himself, didn't play slide on his own version of the song. While he could get down and dirty with the best of them, he often applied his deft, confident picking to jivier, raggier material and narratives like "A Married Man's Fool," later recorded by Ry Cooder on Paradise and Lunch.
