Watch the Ride Your Pony online guitar lesson by Andy Aledort from 30 Beginner Slide Blues Guitar Licks You MUST Know

This open A lick is a tribute to the song "Pony Boy" written by the one and only Dickey Betts of The Allman Brothers Band, who I am proud to have played with in his band Great Southern for the last 11 years. This lick is similar to Lick 22 in that an A root note is accentuated in two different octaves, one up at the fifth fret of the first string and one an octave lower, sounded as the open third string. Be sure to include the nice, concise vibrato on the first lick of each phrase.
