Watch the Mellow Out online guitar lesson by Andy Aledort from 30 Beginner Slide Blues Guitar Licks You MUST Know

Here's another four-bar lick, played once again over the backing track that's along the lines of the great Willie Dixon song, "Mellow Down Easy", a tune that was covered brilliantly by George "Harmonica" Smith as well as harmonica virtuoso Little Walter Jacobs.

In this lick, I focus on the available melodic notes on the top two strings when moving between the 12th and 15th frets. Keep in mind that along with investigating the standard slide licks that are found between the 12th and 10th fret there are many cool sounds to be discovered and incorporated three frets higher at the 15th fret.
