Now we've got a secondary dominant, or "extra V chord" on a turnaround in the key of E. The F# would be the V in the key of B, and of course B7 is the V in the key of E. Combining these two chords gives us a cool-sounding turnaround that resolves strongly to E while totally bypassing the usual A7 chord you'd expect to find here.
