Watch the Even Funkier In D! online guitar lesson by John Goldsby from Upright Bass Handbook

This lesson focuses on Examples 2-6 at a slow tempo. The main thing to watch and listen for here is the shift from the note B with your 4th finger to the note C with your 1st finger. Even though we're playing a slow tempo, the shift still happens fast. If you're having trouble with the shift, go back to Example 1 and play the double stops out of time until you internalize the position of the notes on the fingerboard, and the tactile sensation of shifting up and down the neck.
