Watch the Soloing: Minor Pentatonics online guitar lesson by Ariane Cap from Pentatonic Playground For Bass

When soloing over a blues, a great choice of tonal material is the minor pentatonic scale. By adding the flat 5th we get the blues scale, which contains all three "blue notes" of the root chord. This scale works over all three chords of the blues, with no need to change when the chord changes. It is a great starting point for a blazing blues solo.
