Watch the Latin Bass Grooves online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Jump Start Bass Guitar
This lesson gives you a little taste of playing bass against a Latin groove. The specific style we will be using is a samba. This groove has a grid work of 16th notes which will be explained in the video. But the beauty of this lesson is that you get to apply what you learned in the country bass lesson.
Latin bass lines are centered around the standard root-fifth-octave formation with a sprinkling of repeated eighth and 16th notes.
The jam tracks for this lesson do not have any chords so you are free to play any key.
