Watch the Jig Saw #2 online guitar lesson by Andrew Ford from Blues Bass Survival Guide
This time we use the 1, 3, 5 triad rumba pattern with an occasional 1, 3, 5, 6 pattern but enhance it by slurring from the minor third to the major third. That movement from the minor to the major 3rd gives a bluesy feel to it. We also connect the dots by walking up to the next chord. Bar 6 has a nice blues based riff with a major tonality but ending with the bluesy b7. There is also a mixolydian based line in bar 10.
