Watch the Satterday Night online guitar lesson by Andrew Ford from Blues Bass Survival Guide

There are a few tricky rhythms in this one but the main challenge is to play in the pocket at these slow tempos. Bars 2 and 3 have a couple of 16th syncopated rhythms, all basically using the E triad. We have the slur in bar 5 from F# to G then walking down the mixolydian scale to the 5, E. Then we have a different type of 1, 3, 5, 6 pattern over the D chord. Next we walk up to E in bar 9. Then it goes to the minor 6 chord followed by the 2 minor and dominant 5. In the turnaround there is a long 16th note triplet figure that can be played in the box shape.
