Next we have a medium jazz blues in the style of Miles Davis' "Freddie the Freeloader" or other cool style jazz songs with blues chord changes. The chord changes here are a little different than the typical 12 bar blues starting in bar 8 where it goes to the 6(VI) chord. Then in bar 9 it goes to the 2(ii) minor chord, then the 5(V) in bar 10 before going to the very common 1-6-2-5 turnaround in bars 11 and 12. This example uses various walking bass approaches including scalar, chordal, and chromatic. This groove also makes use of the quick 4 or quick change.
