There is a 2 bar count off for this groove. One bar count then the drummer's fill. The intro on this one has the drums playing a triplet figure which builds into our triplet bass figure as a pick up into the song. We use a traditional 12 bar form here with the 5 chord being used on beat 3 of the 12th bar as a turnaround. A lot of chromatic passing tones here to tie the chord changes together while providing a little tension and release. We use primarily short triplets in section A and longer triplets in section B.
