Watch the Minor Scale online guitar lesson by Stu Hamm from Stu Hamm U: Bass Basics

Now let’s take the approach and patterns that we did in the last exercise and apply it to a Minor scale. We will need to switch our starting hand position to that needed for a Minor scale, starting with our Index Finger on the Root. These exercises will also hopefully pound into your head the concept that the same finger patterns will work anywhere on the neck, and that you can play the same in different positions on the neck to achieve variations in the Tone. This is also part of my personal warm-up routine, and now you have the tools to be able to play in any Key that might be thrown your way!
