Watch the Stutter Step online guitar lesson by Freekbass from 50 Freekbass Licks You MUST Know
With the stutter step I start with a pluck/pull-off the C to the open G string, hammering down to a 7th fret A on the D string, followed by a palm mute, and finally back to one more pluck on the C. I repeat that with two 16th note palm mutes. Next a low hit on the A on the 5th fret of the E string.
I end with a ghost pluck on that C straight into an open E, hammering up to the 5th fret A, with a quick pluck to the C on the 5th fret of the G string. I quickly let it sustain creating a double-stop or chord type sound.
