Watch the Minor Your Major online guitar lesson by Freekbass from 50 Freekbass Licks You MUST Know
The first half of this fill I am using a constant up and down motion, again almost like a rhythm guitar player always bedding on the E on the 7th fret on the A string. The notes I am plucking in the first half (D, C#, and octave E) are based off of snare drum hits/fills. So with the whole first half it is like a kick drum and snare fill.
The 2nd half of the line, I am doing a chromatic climb from a low G# (the major third) on the E string (plus octave) with an 8th note fill up to a B on the 7th fret of the E string. So I am going from a minor flavor to a major flavor, which can give a line a little bit grooviness.
