Watch the Bluegrass Style Primer online guitar lesson by Cathy Fink from Banjo for Guitar Players
Bluegrass 3 finger style grew out of old time fingerpicking. The traditional sounds of J.D. Crowe, Earl Scruggs, Ralph Stanley were the building blocks for new styles by Bill Keith, Tony Trischka, and Bela Fleck. Don Reno's single string styles also influenced modern players. In this course, we'll only scratch the surface of 3 finger style banjo, and if you are interested, you can dig deeper with other courses.
