Watch the One More Time online guitar lesson by Roberto Dalla Vecchia from Solo Flatpicking Handbook
Our first study is a song I wrote last year called “One More Time." Right hand training is extremely important in flatpicking guitar, and I wrote this short piece of music with this in mind.
We're in the key of A major and will be using a very simple right hand pattern. As usual, I encourage you to follow the fingering suggested. Be sure to alternate your strokes correctly and play the notes evenly, with neither stroke louder or softer than the other. The most common problem with alternate picking is having stronger downstrokes than upstrokes, so be aware of this. Last but not least, play this tune with a free tempo and lots of dynamics.
