Shephard Shuffle Breakdown 4
We'll work through the bridge of Shephard Shuffle and this time use an ascending bass line. This one is on top of a D5 chord, which just lies there while your index finger is doing the walking. You'll notice the forward motion in this groove, because of all the anticipated chord notes.
The second bar of this groove is kind of odd, because you're losing your bass note A. You're still playing a groove on an Am chord and should hear it as a melody on Am! Not to worry about this. It's perfectly okay to leave the bass out for a couple of beats; your ear will still 'remember' the bass.
The intro of the song is again one that uses the pedal A open string. It requires quite a stretch of your left hand fingers.
The Jam button will play you Example 94.
