Going Down That Lonesome Road 2
Let's start using the frailing technique in a song. This one is called 'Going Down That Lonesome Road'. The song is in the key of C and we're capoed up on the 2nd fret. You'll hear that the bass line has in fact become the melody line and that the chords on top are mainly there for the percussive effect. The frailing style in this song is very light. You don't dig into the strings with your middle finger while you frail. And the upstroke with your index finger is very light too. The goal is to get a light percussive sound, much like how a drummer would hit his snare on beat 2 and 4 in a country feel.
