Billy Brooks' Bounce Breakdown 1
This is the first full song we'll get into using the palm slap technique. It is based on a groove I picked up from Brooks Williams, a singer songwriter from Massachussets. The song is played in Dropped-D, which means that you have to tune your low E string down to a D. You can use a tuner to do this, or you can lower the string and simultaniously play the fourth string, also a D. When they sound the same, you've got the right tuning. We're also using a capo on the second fret. Billy Brooks' Bounce uses the most popular palm slap groove, one that consists of three parts. Visit Brooks Williams at www.brookswilliams.com
