Watch the Rhythmic Slap online guitar lesson by Peppino D'Agostino from Acoustic Poetica: Fingerstyle Etudes
I've created this exercise to incorporate percussion into a simple chord progression. In this etude you'll find three different kinds of percussion sounds. The 1st one is created with the flesh of your index finger against the top of the guitar above the sound hole. The 2nd one is with the index nail against the top side of your guitar. And the 3rd sound is created by the side of your pinky against all six strings close to the bridge. As you'll learn this exercise, please be patient with yourself and use a slow tempo to allow enough time to switch from chord to chord.
