Here's a completely different progression – but still using the diatonic chords. We're working with a progression called the descending bass line. The first chord of this progression is actually the same Em11 or ii chord that you play on the 1st & 2nd fret. Here we're just playing it up one whole octave (or 8 notes higher). If you don't have a cutaway on your guitar, you will probably have to bring your thumb way out from behind the neck for the first chord.
