Watch the Our Man online guitar lesson by David Hamburger from New School Fingerstyle
One of the ways I come up with things is by taking blues and jazz phrases from my electric guitar vocabulary and coordinating them with an alternating thumb bass. Hence, the intro to "Our Man in Round Rock." To me, the chord progression of the A section suggests certain 1960s jazz recordings by Hank Mobley and Lee Morgan. The title refers to my friend Bret Boyer, a rather talented individual who plays some badass solo fingerstyle jazz.
