Watch the E Minor Progression online guitar lesson by Tierra Negra from Magic Gypsy Chords & Rhythms
We call this progression “The Powerful”.
The E-minor progression comes in 4 variations with selected chord voicings.
In addition I will show you how to play rumba strumming pattern # 1 that has a built in slap on count 3. It is a highly energetic rhythm pattern and a must-know for every guitar player.
This rumba strumming pattern has a slap-stroke on count 3. The slap-stroke adds a rhythmic accent into the rumba pattern. The slap-stroke is replacing a down stroke in our regular right hand up/down movement. As soon as I have finished my last up stroke movement on the "AND of TWO“, I open my wrist and slap on the guitar top and the strings. All of this happens on count three.
After the slap-stroke I continue the strumming pattern by wiping the strings in the next up-stroke movement on the "AND of THREE“. My hand is closed again and I continue the pattern with the above described movements.
