Watch the Slow Playalong: Variation 2 online guitar lesson by Tierra Negra from Magic Gypsy Chords & Rhythms
No Capo needed.
Em9 - 2nd position
This chord voicing is easy to finger and sounds very nice. A true guitar voicing. Make sure that all open strings ring freely.
D9/11 on bass note A - 3rd position
This is a variation of the D7/9 chord we just learned. We still have the 9th in the open E-string, but the 7th I exchanged by the open G-string. G is the 11th of the chord. An open chord voicing with a perfectly imbedded dissonance. The fifth is the lowest tone of the chord. Together with the root it gives the voicing a warm character.
C7 on bass note G - 1st position
Another easy change between the D chord and the C7 chord. We have the fifth in the bass. Make sure that open E- string rings freely.
B7 / 11 on bass note F# - 1st position
Another typical flamenco voicing. We have the fifth in the bass and open E-string as an 11. The interval between the 3rd, D#, and 11th, E, create a typical dissonance that works well in this style of music.
