Watch the Two Shores online guitar lesson by Muriel Anderson from Innovations for Acoustic Guitar

Two Shores, written with both Irish and Cuban flavors, uses a variety of different harmonic techniques.
The harmonic tone is created by touching very lightly at the exact halfway point, (or fraction of the string) while plucking the string. You can touch the halfway point (the "node") with any finger and you can pluck with any finger of either hand. As you can imagine, there are a number of ways to play the harmonics, depending on which fingers you need to do other things! You can both touch the node and pluck the string with different fingers of the right hand, leaving the left hand completely free to fret notes on the fingerboard.
These are the two main methods we'll use, entirely with the right hand:
1. Touch the node with the index finger and pluck with the thumb.
2. Touch the node with the index finger and pluck with the ring finger.
