Watch the His Eye is on the Sparrow - 5 online guitar lesson by Richard Kiser from Gospel Fingerstyle Guitar
In the chorus, as you follow the melody, you see that I am again using two and sometimes three different positions of the chords to keep the melody going, for example the first line of the chorus which is, "I sing because I'm happy", I use the "D" chord position on the 2nd fret, but to keep the alternating bass line accurate, I also use the 5th fret bar chord version of "D7". This is a fairly simple move if you practice it. This is just another proof of the importance of knowing the differnt versions of each chord. This chorus if played very much like the verse, even with some identical chord movements, so it might be a good idea to use lesson 4 as a cross reference as you are learning this part of the song. The last four notes of this chorus are actually the lead in to the key change for the second verse, so you walk down the notes from "G" to "F#", to "F" and then to the "E7" chord which makes the transition to the key of "A" for the second verse.
