Watch the His Eye is on the Sparrow - 3 online guitar lesson by Richard Kiser from Gospel Fingerstyle Guitar

When I came up with this intro I wanted to arrange something that was simple but different. It starts out by walking up on the 4th string into the key of "G". I then just play a "G", then an "A7", then a "C", and finally, a "D". Just notice that when I am playing these chords with the alternating bass in each one, I also keep my pinky finger parked on the 1st string 3rd fret as a "G" note. That little trick is what makes it sound really cool. That's about all it is to the intro. Now on to the verse.
