Watch the Open G Exercise 2 online guitar lesson by Richard Gilewitz from Fingerscapes

It is important in this little riff to pay close attention to the 1/8thn note rest on the '&' of beat 2 in the odd numbered measures as well as the importance of the accentuated vibrato in the following notes. Also of great importance is the restraint and feel you can get by creating a lazy (but 'in time') gradual roll on beat 3 in measure 7 for great effect. Another typical example of the necessary right hand finger 'borrowing' technique occurs on the 2nd beat of measure 4 when striking the 3rd string with the 'm' finger of the right hand. This is also very typical of the 'hiccups' that can occur with a players right hand if not given careful attention.
