Watch the Voicings with Strums online guitar lesson by Vicki Genfan from Acoustic Rhythm Survival Guide

This strumming pattern involves picking alternating bass notes and in between those bass notes strumming down and up, once each. Notice that when I strum down after playing the bass note (root) on these chords I am doing a very 'slow' down stroke so that you actually hear each individual string sounding one at a time... this is a subtlety and will really give you a great 'feel' – see if you can master it and then play around with making that down stroke slower or faster – all while keeping solid time!
