Watch the Using Harmonics online guitar lesson by Peppino D'Agostino from Acoustic Poetica

I use natural and artificial harmonics very often because they enhance my playing and they're very useful and inspiring. In this segment I will show you how to create them and play them right. You'll also learn how to play bent harmonics as well as full chords harmonics. Here is a hint: let's say that we want to play a full C-major chord with artificial harmonics. We know that harmonics repeat every 12 frets, so the very first thing to do is to visualize the diagonal shape of the C over G chord in the upper part of neck starting on the 15th fret of the 6th string. At this point you have to lightly touch the strings with the side of your right hand (re-creating the shape of the chord) while striking with your right hand index in a downward motion across the fret board.

By using the same principle you can actually play other chords such as the G or F major as full harmonics. Have fun!
