Watch the All Choked Up online guitar lesson by Rich Maloof from 50 Acoustic Guitar Licks You MUST Know

Add syncopation to a strum with muted strums -- sometimes called "choked strokes" -- as you play. It makes for great dynamic differentiations, too, when strums are alternately strummed and muted.
