Watch the Minor Jazz online guitar lesson by Joe Dalton from 50 Acoustic Blues Licks You MUST Know
This is another great introduction to walking bass and chords. First, you need to know what notes make up a good solid bass line. In this case, we are using A, B. C, B, as the four quarter notes. These are the root, passing tone second, and the third of the Am chord. The chord is thrown in on the 1& and the 3&. These are really the anticipations of the 2nd and 4th beats. The other non-chordal bass notes are chromatic passing tones.
