This groove sounds like Mercy, Mercy, Mercy at a medium tempo or at a slow tempo the Allman Brothers version of Stormy Monday. At the ninth fret we have an E6th chord. At the seventh fret, we have an E9th chord. Check out the other fingerings of the same chord. They will be very useful. Notice that in this pattern the bass notes are played on a different beat than the chords.
