This little C Major study allows the student to have their first chance to play a very basic half bar chord with the F beginning at the first fret. Be sure to treat your left hand thumb and index finger as a sort of little ‘vice grip’ when applying the pressure but don’t overdo it. Just the right amount of pressure is so crucial with bar chords since you want to avoid wearing out your hand or creating a buzz by pressing to lightly.
