    Red face Hmmm?

David Hamburger is awesome. I think I have bought most of his TrueFire courses and I later discovered that I had an older blues instruction book that was by him before I ever knew who he was.

He could do a real cool self titled cd calling it "The Hamburger Blues" and folks would go "Huh" and then go "WOW!"

George Benson - whose music got me paying attention to music. This is a great lesson by David and man David looks like a serious Jazz/Blues man there.

I'm wondering if this is going to be released as a course, you know something like a 'Back Porch' series. Or 'TrueFire's Home Studio Courses' - with less production value but still plenty of value. You get David Hamburger doing a Lick Course without leaving home, perhaps dude has acquired a fear of flying and doesn't want out. Who knows. But bundle it up and let's have it.

Great lick by the way, making that guitar give over with the horn sound.

David's "piece of cake" line made me he's the coolest

AH, that's the way to do it, I hear David Hamburger mention a Jazz artist I may not know then it's off to hunt for something from that guy on the YouTube to go with the lick and such. Great job leedelta.

Don't know, if they were tabbed and given backing tracks.

Perhaps add a pdf with common moves that repeat in the various licks, it could turn into a nice little jazz course.

A nice little lick by David Hamburger. It's worth taking a peek over at the youtube comments once in a while since there is occasionally a ill mannered thick headed clod writing something dumb that needs some thumbs down. Incredible but true.

Default Hey Joao! Video Replies to David Hamburger Blog -

Joao has done a killer video after the David Hamburger lick and I suggested he put it on the youtube with the video. You can reply to videos with videos which can be kinda cool. Sometimes it's a bit rough out there but most folks would appreciate it.

Down there where you can reply -as you can maybe see barely here in the red box - is the 'create a video response' button. And if you can post to YouTube you can load a video up. I've loaded videos up there and if I can do it -
Anyways, that's the image I couldn't get loaded over in the Blog section.

thanks, Gadlaw - I see what you meant, now. great, I just did it :-) - it doesn't show up yet, but maybe those replies are moderated? anyway, I'll keep checking, no worries! thanks again for your support, it means a lot - and you guys are are incredible!

ok, back to practice but here's the video again - the best thing in it is really Winton Kelly's lick! (sorry to the guys who already stumbled on the video at the other places!)

    Hey, sounds great, Joao!

Is that black & white cat ALIVE? Seems totally unmoved by your playing :O(

I can hardly wait for David to finish the remaining 18 videos...that's going to be a NICE course...some of his videos sound better than I remember the original licks...

...I listened to the radio the other night, something I don't do much anymore, and there was some great bebop stuff playing. I was digging the piano, trumpet and sax lines, thinking how great they'd be as guitar licks....next was a guitar solo and it was pretty anemic compared to my expectations while listening to the other soloists...

that is something David does really well...delivers some really robust sound and feeling as he makes those cross-instrumental licks his own. Even the 'throwaway' things he just tosses in at the end of his lessons, seemingly as essential punctuation (to end whatever he was doing with good musical grammar) sound great...
